WHAT WE BELIEVE:
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God by which we will one day be judged.
- The Bible must be our authority for that which we teach and practice.
- Christ is the only Head of the church (Colossians 1:18)
- Men who meet the qualifications set forth in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 are to be appointed as elders (also called shepherds or bishops) to oversee the local congregation. Serving under the elders are deacons ( I Timothy 3:8-13), preachers (Romans 10:14) and all other members (Hebrews 13:17).
God wants every person to be saved. For that to happen, each accountable person must
- Hear the word ((Romans 10:17)
- Believe that Jesus is God's Son (John 8:24)
- Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3
- Confess our faith in Christ as Gods Son (Acts 8:37; Romans 10:10).
- Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). When we obey the Lord in baptism, we are then added to the saved (church) as stated in Acts 2:47.
- We must then diligently strive to live a faithful Christian life (I Peter 2:21 -22)
